Each fall, the Legal Aid Society of the District of Columbia makes a special appeal to Washington’s legal community to support it efforts in ensuring justice for all persons living in poverty in our community.  The generous contributions to our Annual Appeal make it possible for us to have a staff of top quality attorneys working with a network of pro bono lawyers who know their way around our city -- its courts, its agencies, and the nuances of the local government. 

Legal Aid uses our donations wisely to solve people’s problems, to mobilize the legal community to help make things happen for the betterment of our city.  Legal Aid has a 75 year tradition of making justice real -- standing for individuals and advocating for communities to end injustice.  And we could do so much more with your support.
