Chelsea Creo Sharon
Chelsea Creo Sharon is a Staff Attorney in the Public Benefits Law Unit. Chelsea represents clients in matters involving a wide range of public benefits, such as Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Chelsea is proficient in Spanish.
Prior to joining Legal Aid in September 2013, Chelsea served as a law clerk to the Honorable David S. Tatel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit and the Honorable John G. Koeltl of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
Chelsea received her B.A., magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from Brown University. She received her J.D. from Harvard Law School, where she served as an Executive Editor for Article Selection for the Harvard Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review. While in law school, Chelsea served as a student attorney in the Post-Foreclosure Eviction Defense Housing Clinic and in the Employment Civil Rights Clinic and also interned with the ACLU’s Immigrants’ Rights Project.
