Jason Alston is a Law Clerk in the Housing Law Unit. He assists attorneys in the representation of low-income tenants in eviction and housing conditions cases before the D.C. Superior Court. He also provides support for litigation of housing law claims before administrative bodies, such as the D.C. Housing Authority and the Office of Administrative Hearings.
Jason graduated from Dillard University, with B.A. in Political Science. He received his J.D. from Howard University, where he was a student attorney in the Criminal Justice Clinic and the Civil Rights Clinic. During law school, Jason interned with the Service Employees International Union and worked on the “Fight for Fifteen” campaign. Jason also interned in the D.C. Office of the Attorney General and the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York, in the Organized Crime and Gangs Unit.
Prior to Law School, Jason worked in New York City as a Youth Counselor offering job training and workforce readiness programming to youth and young adults throughout Queens.
