Jennifer Kelso

Legal Assistant/Paralegal

Jen joined Legal Aid as a Legal Assistant/Paralegal in August 2016. She graduated magna cum laude from Loyola University Chicago in 2015 with a B.S. in Environmental Science and a B.A. in Sociology, with a minor in Peace Studies. During college, Jen was involved with multiple campus social justice initiatives, including coordinating weekly student volunteer groups and acting as the student leader for an Alternative Break Immersion spring break trip. She also worked in an on-campus biodiesel production lab that made renewable fuel for campus shuttle buses and all-natural hand soap for campus bathrooms. After graduating, Jen completed a year of service with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps Northwest in Seattle, where she worked at an immigration legal services organization providing services to people in the U.S. seeking asylum and facing deportation. At Legal Aid, Jen provides support and assistance to the attorneys in the DV/Family Law Unit. She is proficient in Spanish.
