Jiyoon Kim

Legal Assistant/Paralegal

Jiyoon joined Legal Aid as a Legal Assistant/Paralegal in August 2014. She graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 2013, majoring in International Studies and Anthropology. During college, Jiyoon interned at Greater Homewood Community Corporation and coordinated resources for a community garden in the Barclay neighborhood of Baltimore. She also studied comparative urban politics and planning in India, Senegal, and Argentina through the International Honors Program. After graduation, Jiyoon joined the Lutheran Volunteer Corps and spent a year at the Public Justice Center, a Baltimore legal advocacy organization, as part of their development and administrative teams. At Legal Aid, Jiyoon provides support and assistance to the attorneys in the Public Benefits Law Unit, the Consumer Law Unit, and the Barbara McDowell Appellate Advocacy Project. Jiyoon is proficient in Spanish and French.
