Nataly Cruz-Castillo

Legal Assistant/Intake Coordinator

Nataly Cruz-Castillo joined Legal Aid as a Legal Assistant/Intake Coordinator in February 2016. She graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in May 2015 with a B.A. in Government & Politics and a concentration on International Policy and History. During college, Nataly interned as the first Native American Community Organizing Student Intern for the office of Multicultural Involvement and Community Advocacy office and was the Student Office Coordinator for the Master’s Program Office for the R.H. School of Business at the University of Maryland. She also studied civil service and global engagement in Japan and presented her research on the impact of Salvadoran immigration in the metropolitan DC area with the Embassy of El Salvador and the University of Maryland. After graduation, Nataly worked as a research assistant for the Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare of Japan, where she assisted in WWII soldier recovery efforts for the Japanese government.  At Legal Aid, Nataly provides assistance and support to the attorneys in the Intake Unit.  Nataly is a native speaker of Spanish.
