Stacy Santin is a Staff Attorney in the Consumer Law Unit. Stacy represents low-income consumers in debt collection matters and staffs Legal Aid’s Consumer Law Court-Based Legal Services Project on the Collections and Small Claims Calendars of the D.C. Superior Court. She is a native speaker of Spanish.
Before joining Legal Aid in June 2014, Stacy was a hearing attorney at a workers’ compensation agency in New York City. Prior to that, she completed a graduate fellowship at Sanctuary for Families, a leading service provider for domestic violence survivors in NYC, where she represented clients in family law and matrimonial matters.
Stacy received her B.A., magna cum laude, from Florida International University in 2009. She received her J.D. in 2012 from The George Washington University Law School, where she was a Presidential Merit Scholar, a member of the Moot Court Board and received the third place award for best brief in the 2012 Van Vleck Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition.
