Legal Aid is delighted to announce that the D.C. pro bono and legal services community recently launched a "Virtual Pro Bono Fair," which is housed at probono.net. The Virtual Pro Bono Fair is a kind of one-stop-shop online video directory of several legal services providers in the Washington metropolitan area. These videos provide information on each organization's mission, the pro bono opportunities that the organization provides, and how interested pro bono attorneys and other volunteers can get involved. Legal Aid is proud to be a part of this endeavor and to be one of the organizations featured online. Special thanks to Legal Aid Board Member Becky Troth, of Sidley Austin LLP, and Marcia Maack, of Mayer Brown, for all the hard work they put into making this important project a reality, and to Creative Video in McLean, Virginia, for the considerable time and talent they donated to produce the videos.
