Executive Director Eric Angel and Legal Aid Board Member Becky Troth, Pro Bono Counsel for Sidley Austin LLP, will serve on a panel on Friday, March 15, 2013, entitled “Pro Bono Rotations/Externships/Fellowships/Secundments” at the PBI Annual Conference at the Grand Hyatt Washington.
Legal Aid has a robust loaned associate program that is the envy of many programs nationwide. Legal Aid currently has lawyers from Arnold & Porter LLP; Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP; Crowell & Moring LLP serving for six-month rotations in our housing unit; a lawyer from Steptoe & Johnson LLP serving in our family law unit on a six-month rotation; and a lawyer from Sidley Austin LLP serving a four-month rotation in our Barbara McDowell Appellate Advocacy Project. If your firm is considering creating a rotation anywhere in the country, please consider attending the session, scheduled for Friday, March 15, 2013, at 2:45 PM. Our loaned associates have truly been extraordinary during their time at Legal Aid. Below are blog entries by former loaned associates:
