Alexis Christensen

Skadden Fellow

Alexis Christensen is a Skadden Fellow in the Public Benefits Unit. Her project will focus on developing a same-day representation project at the Office of Administrative Hearings.

Alexis received her B.A. and M.S.W. from Baylor University. After working as community organizer in Texas, Alexis received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. During law school, Alexis served as an executive member of the Georgetown Black Law Student Association and as the Submissions Editor for the Georgetown Journal on Poverty Law and Policy. She also served as a student attorney with the Civil Litigation Clinic and interned at Legal Aid, the Council for Court Excellence, the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. In 2020, Alexis received the Jeffrey Crandall Award for her commitment to legal aid.
