Maria Ochoa

Maria is a bilingual Intake Specialist in the Consumer Unit. She has previously worked as a bilingual paralegal in family, immigration, and utility law in both the private and public sectors in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Maria also has experience in program management and business development, having contributed her skills in survey design for an impact evaluation at Mercy Corps’ Reentry Transition Center in Portland, Oregon for her master’s thesis, and, more recently, in supporting winning proposals through competitive bid analysis at the Pan American Development Foundation in Washington, DC.

She holds a master’s degree in Conflict Resolution, a bachelor’s degree in Criminology, and a certificate in civil mediation from Portland State University. Maria also has a post-baccalaureate paralegal certificate from Purdue University.
