Satcha Robinson is a Staff Attorney with the Reentry Justice Project and Public Benefits Unit. Satcha initially joined Legal Aid DC in September 2018 as a Skadden Fellow focusing on representation of individuals who have had prior involvement with the criminal justice system in the areas of criminal record sealing, “ban the box” violations, and overcoming other collateral consequences arising within our civil legal practice areas.

In addition to her work with the Reentry Justice Project, Satcha represents clients in a wide range of public benefits matters, including Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Medicaid, Medicare, and unemployment insurance.

Satcha received her B.S., summa cum laude, from American University and her J.D., cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center. While in law school, Satcha worked as a student attorney in the Georgetown Domestic Violence Clinic and interned with the Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights and Legal Aid in the Housing Law Unit. She also volunteered with AARP’s Legal Counsel for the Elderly and the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Probate Resource Center.
