Satcha Robinson

Skadden Fellow

Satcha Robinson joined Legal Aid in September 2018 as a Skadden Fellow in the Reentry Justice Project. Satcha’s fellowship project focuses on providing representation to individuals who have had prior involvement with the criminal justice system in the areas of criminal record sealing, “ban the box” violations, public benefits denials, and overcoming barriers to housing. In addition to direct representation, Satcha conducts outreach with other legal, community, and governmental service providers and works on systemic advocacy to increase protections and remove barriers for individuals with criminal records.

Satcha received her B. S., summa cum laude, from American University and her J.D., cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center. While in law school, Satcha worked as a student attorney in the Georgetown Domestic Violence Clinic and interned with the Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights and Legal Aid in the Housing Law Unit. She also volunteered with AARP’s Legal Counsel for the Elderly and the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Probate Resource Center.
