Zenia Wilson Laws is a Senior Staff Attorney in the Consumer Law Unit. Zenia represents low-income consumers in debt collection matters and staffs Legal Aid’s Consumer Law Court-Based Legal Services Project on the Collections and Small Claims Calendars of D.C. Superior Court.
Before joining the Legal Aid in January 2019, Zenia was a Staff Attorney at Maryland Legal Aid in the Maryland Workforce Legal Services and Community Lawyering projects, where she assisted job-seekers with legal barriers to employment.
Zenia received her J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law. While in law school, Zenia served as student attorney in the Immigrant Rights Clinic, and was also a Kellogg’s Law Fellow with the NAACP. Following law school, Zenia served as an AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteer at the Fair Housing Council of Oregon. She received her B.A., summa cum laude, from Morgan State University.
