Maggie Donahue

Senior Staff Attorney

Maggie Donahue is a Senior Staff Attorney in the Housing Law Unit. Maggie regularly represents individuals in voucher termination, eviction, and housing conditions matters. Prior to joining Legal Aid in December 2010, Maggie worked at Ayuda, Inc. as a J.D. Distinguished Fellow, where she handled primarily immigration cases. Maggie is proficient in Spanish.

Maggie graduated with a B.A., magna cum laude, from Colgate University, where she received the Hartshorne Award for excellence in philosophy and religion and was a member of the Konosioni Honor Society. She received her J.D., cum laude, from American University Washington College of Law, where she was a student attorney in the Criminal Justice Clinic and was a Dean’s Fellow. She interned with CASA de Maryland, Ayuda, the National Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights, and the Public Defender Service of the District of Columbia. While in law school, Maggie received “Outstanding Service Honors” for her pro bono service, and the 10 year anniversary “Outstanding CAIR Coalition Volunteer” award for her work as an intern at the Capital Area Immigrant Rights Coalition.
