David Steib

David Steib is the Deputy Director of the DC Resource Bridge, an innovative program that streamlines access to legal services for DC residents. In this role, David helps to run the program, works on process and technology improvements, and supervises the navigators who conduct intakes with individuals looking for legal help.
Prior to his current position, David worked for the Office for Access to Justice at the US Department of Justice, breaking down barriers to equal justice under law. Before that, David was the Director of the Language Access Program at Ayuda, helping individuals across the DC metropolitan area access legal and victim services, regardless of the languages that they use to communicate. Before that, he was the Assistant Director of the Office of Public Interest at Washington College of Law.
David received his B.A., cum laude, from Yale University and his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. After law school, he worked at Legal Aid DC, first as a Skadden Fellow and then as a Housing Staff Attorney. David has served on the Board of the Washington Council of Lawyers, on the Executive Committee of the D.C. Language Access Coalition, on the Language Access Advisory Committee of the DC Courts, and on the Steering Committee of the DC Bar’s Public Interest and Courts Community.
