The DC Resource Bridge
The DC Resource Bridge is a one-stop service that makes it easier for District residents to access free or low-cost civil legal help. Built in collaboration with a wide network of legal service providers, the DC Resource Bridge is designed to make access to justice simpler, fairer, and more effective.
The DC Resource Bridge is hosted by Legal Aid DC in partnership with the DC Bar Foundation.
How it works:
When you call the DC Resource Bridge, a trained Navigator will gather information about your legal issue and make a referral to the organization best able to help you. It's free to call, and participating organizations all offer their services at little or no cost.
Current areas of law
The DC Resource Bridge is currently helping residents with:
- Family law
- Foreclosure, debt collection, and financial issues
- Public benefits
- Cases in the DC Court of Appeals
Additional areas will be rolled out over the next several months.
