Madison Cassell joined Legal Aid DC as Deputy Director of Development in September 2022 and was promoted to Chief of Staff in February 2026. In this new role, she collaborates closely with leadership to develop and implement organizational priorities, streamlines cross-departmental communication, and ensures key initiatives are executed efficiently and aligned with strategic goals. Madison also contributes to high-level planning, oversees the grants program, and supports external partnerships and major events, including the Servant of Justice Awards Dinner.

Madison brings a strong background in political fundraising and operations, most notably serving as Finance Director for Amy McGrath’s 2020 Senate campaign in Kentucky. Throughout her career, she has worked on high-profile campaigns across the country, including in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Nevada, developing expertise in strategic planning, team coordination, and managing complex, fast-paced projects. She began her career at EMILY’s List in 2016.

Madison graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2016 with a B.A. in Rhetoric & Writing and Middle Eastern Languages & Cultures.
