Ayaan is a Navigator with the DC Resource Bridge program. Previously, she worked as a Housing Paralegal at Rising for Justice, a tenant advocacy organization supporting individuals navigating landlord-tenant disputes. In that role, she conducted client intake, coordinated referrals, and assisted attorneys with
case preparation and correspondence. Her passion for the legal field was solidified during an undergraduate internship with the Virginia Poverty Law Center's Senior Legal Helpline, where she provided support to seniors seeking legal assistance.
 
Ayaan brings a community-driven, client-centered approach to her work, with a strong commitment to enhancing access to justice for marginalized communities. She earned her B.A. from the University of Virginia in Political and Social Thought, with a concentration in Sociology and African American and African Studies. During her time at UVA, she completed an undergraduate thesis examining identity construction within the African Immigrant population in the United States, which deepened her curiosity about immigration, identity and systemic inequality. Outside of work, Ayaan enjoys listening to music, crocheting and spending time with friends.
