Cindy Kim is the Deputy Director of the DC Resource Bridge, an innovative program that streamlines access to legal services for DC residents.

Cindy has a wealth of experience in domestic violence program management and litigation. For six years, Cindy served as Assistant Chief at the DC Office of the Attorney General's Domestic Violence and Special Victims Section where she supervised a team of attorneys and staff in representing survivors in civil protection order cases and prosecuting violations of protection orders. She oversaw all aspects of the practice, including securing annual grant funding. In addition, Cindy chaired the committee that manages the two Domestic Violence Intake Centers in DC, where she oversaw the opening of a new Southeast location, led an organizational restructuring and enhanced technological systems.

Previously, Cindy served as an Assistant Attorney General for seven years on the same team, litigating cases in DC Superior Court on behalf of survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking. Cindy also worked at Volunteer Legal Advocates, mentoring pro bono attorneys in handling civil protection order cases and as a staff attorney at the ABA Commission on Domestic and Sexual Violence. Cindy started off her legal career as an immigration attorney and also worked at a resource center for immigrants in Montgomery County, Maryland.

Cindy received a B.A. from University of Maryland, College Park and a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School. A dedicated public interest lawyer, Cindy has handled immigration and custody pro bono cases and previously served as Board President of the A/PI Domestic Violence Resource Project
