Danielle Rowan is a Staff Attorney in Legal Aid’s Pro Bono Pro Program. Danielle works with each of Legal Aid’s practice areas with a focus on facilitating the creation of and maintaining pro bono partnerships and projects to expand Legal Aid’s resources to serve even more clients.

Prior to joining Legal Aid in July 2025, Danielle served as a trial attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice’s Civil Fraud Section and as counsel in the White Collar and Regulatory Enforcement Group at Crowell & Moring, LLP, where she maintained a robust pro bono practice and chaired the firm’s Making Justice Real Campaign. Danielle has represented clients in criminal, post-conviction, housing, and immigration matters.

From 2017-2018, Danielle was a loaned associate to Legal Aid’s Housing Law Unit. Prior to law school, Danielle taught ninth grade English in Philadelphia through the Teach for America program.


Danielle received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2014 and, during law school, interned with the Children’s Law Center and the Honorable Judge Mott of D.C. Superior Court. She holds an M.A. Ed. from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. from Trinity College.
