Evelyn Rupert

Evelyn Rupert joined Legal Aid DC as the organization’s first Digital Director in February 2024. In her role, she oversees digital communications channels to amplify Legal Aid’s mission, clients, and impact. Evelyn joined Legal Aid after three years as Director of Communications at the Georgetown University Prisons and Justice Initiative, which offers prison education and reentry services in D.C. and Maryland. She previously was a member of the communications team at Creative Associates International, a global development organization, and has also worked as an editor for local and national news outlets. 

Evelyn earned her B.A. in journalism and mass communications from Washington & Lee University and her M.A. in strategic communications from American University.
