Jamie Long is a  Senior Staff Attorney in the Housing Law Unit. She represents low-income tenants in eviction and housing conditions cases before the D.C. Superior Court. She also litigates housing law claims before administrative bodies, such as the D.C. Housing Authority and the Office of Administrative Hearings.

Prior to joining Legal Aid DC in November 2020, Jamie was an associate at Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer. During her time at Arnold & Porter, Jamie spent nearly a year as a loaned associate in Legal Aid DC’s Housing Law Unit.

Jamie received her J.D., magna cum laude, from Cornell Law School and her B.A., cum laude, in Economics & Political Science from the University of Notre Dame. While in law school, she worked as an intern at the U.S. Department of Justice and participated in Cornell’s Appellate Immigration & Convention Against Torture Clinic, as well as the Child Advocacy Clinic.
