Katherine Hays joined Legal Aid DC as the Director of Operations in July 2005. Kathy serves on Legal Aid DC’s senior management team, overseeing the operational, administrative, personnel, and financial functions of the office. Prior to coming to Legal Aid DC, Kathy was a Group Vice President\ Office Administrator and Custodian of Records for Riggs Bank N.A. for 13 years. Kathy brings over 30 years of administration/management experience to Legal Aid.
Kathy received her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Colorado in 1986 and her Paralegal Certificate of Completion from the Denver Paralegal Institute in 1988.
