Rebecca Dayan joined Legal Aid DC in April 2023 as a Legal Assistant/Paralegal in the Consumer Unit. She provides litigation and administrative support for the unit’s foreclosure prevention and debt collection defense practices and helps clients complete loss mitigation applications.

Rebecca was born and raised in Washington, DC, and received a graduate certificate in Paralegal Studies with honors from George Washington University in May 2023. She previously worked as a case manager and HIV/Hepatitis C tester at St. Ann’s Corner of Harm Reduction in the Bronx where she completed intakes, helped clients access healthcare services, and facilitated health education and support groups. 

As an undergraduate student at Sarah Lawrence College, Rebecca completed a Policy and Campaigns internship at the Katal Center for Health, Equity and Justice focusing on criminal justice reform campaigns in New York.
