Shay Williams joined Legal Aid DC in March 2025 as a Senior Intake Generalist. Her background is primarily in education and case management. After graduating college, Shay was a special education teacher in her hometown of Omaha, Nebraska. She began working at Miriam's Kitchen shortly after she moved to DC in 2022. During her time at Miriam's Kitchen, she provided intensive case management services to a diverse caseload of individuals experiencing chronic homelessness.
Shay is passionate about ensuring our community members have the opportunity to have support when navigating complexities within the legal system.
