Simon Wentzell is a Staff Attorney in the Housing Law Unit. He represents low-income tenants in eviction and housing conditions cases before the D.C. Superior Court. He also litigates housing law claims before administrative bodies, such as the D.C. Housing Authority and the Office of Administrative Hearings.

Prior to joining Legal Aid DC in September 2022, Simon clerked for the Honorable Vytas Vergeer in the Office of Administrative Hearings.

Simon received his J.D. in 2021 from Georgetown University Law Center. While in law school, Simon worked as a student attorney in Georgetown’s International Women’s Human Rights Clinic. He also worked as an intern at Brady United and Kenya Legal & Ethical Issues Network. Before law school, Simon taught English as a Foreign Language in Kosovo as a member of the Peace Corps. Simon received his B.A., cum laude, from Boston University.
