Venus Heidari

Venus Heidari is a Staff Attorney for the Amara Project in the Family Law and Domestic Violence Unit. She represents survivors of sex trafficking and sex workers.

Venus received her J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center. As a law student, Venus was a Student Attorney at Georgetown's Juvenile Justice Clinic, where she represented young people charged with crimes in the District. She also participated in the Women and Immigration Fieldwork Practicum, preparing for affirmative asylum cases.

After law school, Venus clerked for the Honorable Maribeth Raffinan at the D.C. Superior Court, then worked as a Staff Attorney at the Amara Legal Center.
