Developed by the DC Bar Foundation and hosted by Legal Aid DC, the program has received more than 3,850 inquiries and connected residents with free and low-cost legal assistance through a network of 30 partner organizations.
DC's final budget for the 2026 fiscal year does not do enough to protect many of our neighbors and falls short of the funding needed for critical programs.
The DC Council has made progress toward undoing cuts to critical programs for low-income residents, but there's still work to do to protect DC's social safety net.
