Keilah Roberts

Staff Attorney

Keilah Roberts is a Staff Attorney in the Housing Law Unit. She represents low-income tenants in eviction and housing conditions cases before the D.C. Superior Court. She also litigates housing law claims before administrative bodies, such as the D.C. Housing Authority and the Office of Administrative Hearings.

Prior to joining Legal Aid in November 2020, Keilah was a law clerk to the Honorable Kimberley S. Knowles at the D.C. Superior Court.

Keilah received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of the District of Columbia, David A. Clarke School of Law, where she was a Senior Editor of the UDC Law Review and winner of the Richard H. Semsker Prize in Civil Rights Award and Scholarship. While in law school, Keilah served as a Student Attorney in the General Practice Law Clinic representing clients in child custody cases. Keilah also served as a Student Attorney in the Community Development Law Clinic law where she provided legal advice to housing cooperatives. Her other legal experiences include interning at the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, United States District Court for the District of Columbia, and Harvard Legal Aid Bureau. Keilah received her B.A. from Nazareth College.
