Rondell Magic Jordan

Staff Attorney

(Admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania. Practicing law in the District of Columbia pursuant to D.C. Court of Appeals Rule 49(c)(9)(B) under the supervision of Legal Aid attorneys admitted to the D.C. Bar and in good standing.)

Rondell Magic Jordan is a Staff Attorney in the Housing Law Unit. He represents low-income tenants in eviction cases before the D.C. Superior Court. He also litigates housing law issues before administrative bodies, such as the D.C. Housing Authority and the Office of Administrative Hearings.

Prior to joining Legal Aid, Rondell worked as a legal writer for a law firm in Pittsburgh where he researched and wrote about a range of immigration matters, with a focus on employment visas.

Rondell graduated with a B.A. from Pennsylvania State University in 2012, where he was the President of the National Pan-Hellenic Council and President of the Gamma Nu Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha
Fraternity, Incorporated. He earned his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2018, where he was an Associate Editor for the Pittsburgh Tax Review and President of the Black Law Students Association. While in law school, Rondell interned with the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.

In addition to his law degree, Rondell obtained his master’s degree in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University in 2018. There he served as a Staff Editor for the Heinz Journal and as President of the Heinz Council for Diversity, Richness, and Inclusion.
