Lisa Meehan

Legal Assistant/Paralegal

Lisa Meehan joined Legal Aid as the Legal Assistant/Paralegal for the Public Benefits Unit in October 2017.

Lisa graduated summa cum laude from Tufts University in May 2017 with a B.A. in International Relations, Community Health, and Spanish. At Tufts, Lisa received highest thesis honors and the Bellin Award for Excellence in Community Health Research for her senior honors thesis, “Associations between sexual assault and mental health outcomes for Tufts University undergraduates.”

Lisa is trained in Medical Spanish interpretation and volunteered as a Medical Spanish teacher for midwives and nurses in the greater Boston area. She worked abroad as a youth leadership organizer with Amigos de las Americas in Ecuador, a volunteer coordinator with United Planet in Peru, and a clinical research intern with the Parkinson’s Association of Madrid in Spain. Lisa is proficient in Spanish.
