Lisa Meehan

Legal Assistant/Paralegal

Lisa Meehan joined Legal Aid as a Legal Assistant/Paralegal for the Public Benefits Unit and Appellate Project in October 2017. Lisa graduated summa cum laude from Tufts University in May 2017 with a B.A. in International Relations, Community Health, and Spanish. At Tufts, she received highest honors and the Bellin Award for Excellence in Community Health Research for her original quantitative research and senior thesis on the associations between sexual assault and mental health outcomes for college undergraduates. Lisa is trained in Medical Spanish interpretation and volunteered as a Medical Spanish teacher for midwives and nurses in the greater Boston area. She has worked abroad as a youth leadership organizer with Amigos de las Americas in Ecuador, a volunteer coordinator with United Planet in Peru, and a clinical research intern with the Parkinson’s Association of Madrid in Spain. Lisa is fluent in Spanish.
