Rebecca Harris

Legal Assistant/Paralegal

Rebecca Harris joined Legal Aid as a Legal Assistant/Paralegal in June 2018. She graduated from Brown University in 2016 with a B.A. in Economics and Middle East Studies. While in college, she advocated for workers’ rights through a year-long internship at Rhode Island Jobs With Justice and participation in the Brown University Student Labor Alliance. Following graduation, she served as a program assistant for the Human Rights and Civil Liberties Program at the Friends Committee on National Legislation (FCNL), where she lobbied Congress in support of humane, welcoming immigration policies. She has also served as an intake volunteer at the Workers’ Rights Clinic run by the Washington Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs. At Legal Aid, Rebecca provides support to the Housing Unit. She is proficient in Spanish.
